Michael Shear is a seasoned marketing strategist and the founder of Shear Performance Marketing. With over 16 years of experience, he has led data-driven growth initiatives for global corporations, major agencies, and innovative startups. His career spans respected brands including Volkswagen, Shell, Warner Music Group, and Hilton, where he has delivered measurable results through advanced analytics and strategic creativity.
Before starting his own consultancy, Michael held leadership roles at companies known for their marketing excellence. At Epsilon, he led digital analytics for more than 40 clients, designing KPI frameworks, performance benchmarks, and testing strategies that improved campaign outcomes. While at MediaCom, he helped drive marketing ROI increases of over 200 percent on global campaigns for Volkswagen and Shell. Earlier, at Warner Music Group, he supported over 100 artists with insights that deepened fan engagement and improved digital performance.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Mathematics from Bates College and a Master of Science in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Fluent in German and proficient in Spanish, he brings a global and analytical mindset to his work.
